The story of each Arne Jacobsen Watch lives in the architectural legacy left behind by the iconic Danish designer. Throughout his career, Arne Jacobsen designed several clocks to accompany and complete the buildings he created — buildings like the SAS Royal Hotel, the Danish National Bank, and Aarhus City Hall.
Now, thanks to Arne Jacobsen Watches, these clocks have been wonderfully adapted into beautiful timepieces that bear all the hallmarks of Jacobsen’s work — modern simplicity met with exquisite functionality and timelessness. There are four unique watch-face styles to choose from, and each is an exact re-creation of an original Arne Jacobsen clock based on Jacobsen’s own sketches and plans.
Sven and I each have an Arne Jacobsen Watch and we both really love the clear aesthetics and the refinement of the materials. We both opted for styles with stainless-steel mesh bands, but there are several band-types to choose from and they are also interchangeable. The face-styles come in four different diameters, starting at 30 mm and going up to 46 mm. I really love the classic feeling of the clock Jacobsen designed for the Aarhus City Hall tower, so I opted for the Roman design. Sven wanted something even more simple, so he picked the minimalist City Hall design with black on black details.
If you’re curious to learn a bit more about the design history behind each of the four watches, you can explore a bit further on this page. And of course, you’ll find all their watch styles online, as well as wall clocks and table clocks — all of which would make great gifts for the upcoming holidays.
