Above are a few shots from my weekend trip to the mountains – such a memorable weekend 🙂
There were not as many fall colors as I had hoped for, but it was still so beautiful. We went on a hike to a vista with a 360 view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was so breathtaking and really made me miss living up there (it’s the area I called home for 3 years before moving to Greensboro).
I didn’t get many photos of the adventures we had in downtown Ashville because I don’t really feel comfortable hauling my DSLR everywhere – the macro lens seems to make people feel a little uncomfortable I think and it’s really heavy on my shoulder after a while. But I’m really excited because after I got home last night, I decided to buy a compact 50mm lens which will be way less “in your face” and much easier to take with me – I think I’ll feel a little more comfortable shooting while I’m out-and-about with a downsized lens.
It should arrive tomorrow so I’m sure I’ll have lots of new photos to share once I start photographing with it 🙂
