I certainly like to keep things simple when it comes to Christmas décor, and an understated eucalyptus wreath is all you need to add the perfect winterly touch to a room without going overboard.
For my third “Scandinavian Christmas” entry, I happy to share these cozy winter details from our bedroom. I suspended a simple eucalyptus wreath from the curtain rod and added a few candles to the dresser and window ledge. I also picked up a few willow branches for a vase – they have these little funny white puffs that remind me of snow.
Winters in Berlin are pretty harsh and dreary, so it’s important to me that our bedroom feel cozy and calming. As someone who draws a lot of energy from my surroundings, it makes sense that I’m so attracted to the calmness of Scandinavian interiors. I much prefer the subdued aesthetic of simple and natural holiday décor apposed to flashier options, and it makes me happy that this aesthetic is so easy and affordable to create! All you need is some fresh greenery, vases, candles, and cozy throw blankets!
