In this post, you’ll find some of my favorite iPhone snaps captured throughout January — shots from our home, moments around Munich, and a few photos from my current visit to Berlin.
These past few weeks have absolutely zoomed by, and I can’t believe we’re almost ready to call a wrap on the first month of 2023. Sven and I rounded off the year with a slightly hectic but nice holiday season. It wasn’t quite as relaxing as we imagined, but joyful and cozy all the same. After spending some time in Berlin and Hamburg, we headed back down to Munich to celebrate the New Year in a lowkey way with friends.
Since the start of the year, I’ve picked back up with my intensive language classes and am studying for a few hours each day (on top of my usual work). It’s great to be back into the language in this focused type of way since I plan to finish my citizenship this year, but I’m also feeling a bit spread thin at the moment. Regardless, I’m still so excited to see that my end goal is finally insight, and I’m looking forward to earning a new citizenship and European passport… doing so will open up a whole new world of opportunities too!
Since my classes are online, I decided to return to Berlin for the last week of January to spend some time with friends and soak up a bit of that edge I’ve been missing in Munich. I’m staying with my girlfriend Adele who has the absolute most gorgeous apartment which she and her boyfriend renovated from scratch. It always feels so incredible to come back here for visits, especially since I’m back in the neighborhood where Sven and I used to live. I’m looking forward to bringing some of this creative energy back home with me at the end of this month!
