It’s summer time which means the veggies are ripe, all my favorites are in season, and it’s the best time of year to be in the kitchen.
For my birthday, my mother-in-law got me this wonderful cookbook by Kinfolk and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed diving into it’s pages – exploring new recipes from some of my favorite places around the world. This book is packed full of mouth-watering dishes that are all artistically photographed. It’s also a delight to read, and I’ve already gone through the pages cover to cover, leaving a trail of “must-try” bookmarks for our summer agenda. So, if you’re looking for a gift for someone who likes to cook, bake, read, eat, or simply look at beautiful images, I would highly recommend this cookbook. It’s also a great thing to gift yourself!
Below are a few more shots from our summer kitchen. You’ll see that we got a shipment of preserves from our jam-making friends in France. It makes me quite gleeful to see all of these copper-capped jars lined up on the windowsill just waiting to be enjoyed!
