Masseria Dagilupi is a dreamy Apulian escape where nature and architecture have been thoughtfully fused together by the warmest hospitality.
Once a former olive mill, Masseria Dagilupi is nestled into the countryside between Ostuni and the Adriatic Sea. Century old olive trees and clusters of cacti surround the stone building which has been completely reimagined by Danielle and Jean-Louis. The owners and hosts renovated the historic mill in 2018, creating a luxurious yet understated B&B where guests can experience a harmonious blend of Apulian architecture and nature, in a boutique hotel setting.
Sven and I had the great pleasure of checking into Masseria Dagilupi for a few nights during our recent visit to Puglia, and we loved every moment of our time there. As soon as we arrived, we were completely enveloped by the beautiful surrounding landscape and whitewashed walls of Dagilupi. Danielle and Jean-Louis made us feel right at home, considering every detail to ensure that our stay was luxurious, relaxing, and unlike anything else Ostuni has to offer.

Accommodations & Architecture
Each of the three rooms at Masseria Dagilupi are distinctive and unique — with creative design solutions that play off the building’s original architecture. During our visit, we stayed in the bright and spacious Deluxe Limoni Room which features a king-sized bed, cozy sitting area, and beautifully designed bathroom with a built-in vanity that had me swooning. Just outside the room is an open courtyard with steps that take you to the most magical part of Masseria Dagilupi, the roof terrace. Breathtaking scenery unlike any other stretches-out in every direction, offering views of both the hilltop town of Ostuni and the Adriatic Sea.

Vibes & Amenities
The atmosphere at Masseria Dagilupi is calming and serene. It’s a place where you can truly “leave it all behind” and let life’s distractions fade away as you’re lulled by the painted Apulian landscape, and considered design details. There are plenty of places to lounge and relax around the property, and we fully enjoyed the time we spend immersed outside. The masseria also offers outdoor massages and yoga experiences so that guests can feel fully absorbed by the tranquility that surrounds.

Local Surroundings
While the blissful silence of the surrounding olive groves gives you the feeling you’re worlds away from anything but nature, Masseria Dagilupi is actually quite central. There’s lots to explore in the nearby town of Ostuni or other neighboring villages, and the seaside is just a few kilometers away. Coming by car is the most practical way to visit Dagilupi, and gives you all the flexibility needed to find yourself immersed in the region. Our hosts were very happy to provide us with a list of their favorite local restaurants and beaches, and these recommendations did not disappoint!

Gourmet Breakfast
Breakfast at Masseria Dagilupi is fresh, healthy, and wonderfully original. Each morning, Danielle and Jean Louis go through great efforts to prepare a gourmet spread, based on Apulian fare that’s prepared with an imaginative twist. Fresh-pressed melon and ginger juice, homemade nutella and prickly pear jam, baked bananas seasoned with cardamom, and creamy stracciatella served with finely minced pear were just a few of the fabulous things we enjoyed during our stay. The assortment they serve varies day-to-day, and Masseria Dagilupi is also happy to augment the morning menu if you have a special dietary preference.
