366 days ago, I met my best friend.
While I can’t claim to be any type of relationship expert, I can say that our relationship is good for reasons which extend beyond general compatibility and attraction. And while we don’t do all these things perfectly 100% of the time, I wanted to share a few aspects that I believe contribute to the quality of our relationship.
– we encourage each other –
– we share our fears with each other –
– we’re critical of each other –
– we don’t hold back our corks –
– we share our dreams for the future with each other –
– we know that neither of us are mind-readers –
– we respect each others privacy –
– we’re mindful of each others short comings –
– we know that things will never be perfect –
Again, I can’t claim that we’re perfect in all these areas all the time. But generally speaking, these are true and consistent aspects of our relationship that I believe have helped us grown stronger and closer together. Perhaps there’s something on this list that will inspire you in your relationships – be it your friends or your partner. What are aspects that make your relationships strong?
