Little hints of autumn are certainly in the air here in Berlin, which means it’s time for a few small décor changes to prep for the changing seasons.
As the summer days grow shorter and we slowly fade into autumn, lighting becomes such a key element in keeping the space warm and comfortable. I’ve been loving the soft, ambient glow of this Kizu Lamp from New Works. It gives off such a soothing light and makes the living room feel so cozy during the evening hours.
The perfectly balanced form presents less like a lamp, and more like a sculpture during the daytime, and pairs so nicely with my other favorite sculptural pieces like the Aalto Vase. I’ve also added a few dried arrangements to the space in deeper shades of greens and browns. Summer will be gone before we know it, so I better savor the last few weeks I guess. But I truly am looking forward to spending our first fall in this flat, especially after spending the full summer here without an air conditioner!
