Having reached the halfway mark of September, I thought it would be a good time to finally share a few interior updates. We’ve been calling this beautiful apartment home for less than four months, and there’s still much to be done before I feel like we are truly settled in. Yet we’ve made progress in little and big ways.
In this post, I’m sharing some of the most recent updates, as well as several new views. Of course I still have quite a few plans to implement and changes that I want to make (I feel like I write this in every interior post) but I really enjoy seeing how it all comes together. The most notable additions we added in recent times are in the shape of a Serge Mouille Mantis Lamp for the living room and a giant arched mirror in the dining room — two pieces I’ve ben dreaming of for years. The mirror is actually a second-hand find I luckily came across via local eBay. It probably goes without saying that it was love at first sight.
I still haven’t settled on a lamp for our bedroom ceiling, and I’m dreaming of replacing our sofa for something a bit bigger and more comfy. But I’m loving the journey and the process… the experience thoughtfully and slowly assembling our home, one beautiful piece at a time. When I finally find ten extra hours in my life, I have big plans to sew curtains for our living and dining room like I did for our bedroom. Airy textiles are absolutely one of the missing elements in these rooms which are bound to soften and frame the space instantly. I’ve already decided that I’d like to go for a bone-white linen, but I still need to source the perfect fabric.
Those are just a few updates. Later this week, I’ll be heading back to Copenhagen for my favorite annual design event, 3daysofdesign. I’m bound to return home with loads of inspiration from the fair. Sven will be joining me for a few days this year, so of course I’m also thrilled to be back in our most loved city together where we got married. It’s going to be a great week!
I hope you all enjoy these images and a closer peek into our flat!
