The feeling of summer is here and I’m ready for the warmer days ahead. Below you’ll find a mix of iPhone shots that I’ve snapped throughout spring into June. If you’ve visited my blog before than you already know what to expect from this post — part life update, part photo overshare.
But today is slightly more special than other days however because today I’m celebrating my birthday… twenty-nine years on this beautiful earth and my final year before hitting the big ‘three-O’. I’ve always loved having my birthday in June — summer is beginning and everyone is ready for the happy things that accompany the season. But I also appreciate that June feels a bit like a half-way point through the year (although not quite), and as I’ve gotten older I like to spend the day reflecting on the direction of life.
This year has been remarkably busy (hence the lack of blog updates) and I think that the whole world is still playing catch-up from the pandemic. Sven and I have already taken quite a few trips, both within Europe and overseas (Czech, France, Mexico, US, Austria, Poland) and we have many more on the books. It’s been exciting but also intense! In early May, we flew back to the US to finally celebrate our marriage with family and friends on that side of the globe, and at the end of this month we’ll be celebrating once again in Hamburg with our German family and friends from all around Europe. I still have quite a few things to plan for the party, but it always comes together in the end. We have a lot of excitement to squeeze in between now and then though. Sven and I are heading down to Tuscany tomorrow for a relaxed birthday escape, and then the following week my parents will arrive and I’ll be in full host mode until the end of the month!
That’s all the rambling I’ll do for now though. The rest of this post is about the visuals! Hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite snaps from this spring and summer. You might be able to spy a few new pieces that moved into our home (hello beautiful Twin Sofa and Flos Taccia lamp of my dreams!). You can of course find most of the other items on the ‘Shop Our Home‘ directory page.
Xx, Rebecca
