Fragrances have a special way of moving our senses — sparking an emotion, transporting us through time, or calling us back to a place that lives in our memories.
While some are loyal to a single signature scent, I prefer to rotate fragrances through the days and seasons. Each bottle has a mood of its own, characterized by a unique combination of sensory-stirring ingredients. And what I reach for depends entirely on my own mood or surroundings. Some days call for the bright scent of orange blossom, while others ask for the earthy fragrance of moss. The temperature of the air, items on the day’s to-do list, or how I’m feeling are all influencing factors when it comes to choosing the day’s fragrance. Below is a list of my favorite perfumes which I always keep on my vanity — my personal fragrance edit.

Fresh: Diptyque L’Eau de Néroli
A bright blend of neroli, bergamot, and orange blossom combined with gentle notes of beeswax to create a honeyed finish. The combination is lively and fresh, with the faint hint of young green leaves blossoming in an orange grove. It’s a perfume defined by the feeling of summer, one that paints an olfactory picture of crisp morning dew glistening on the branches of ripening citrus.

Warm: Dior Ambre Nuit
An oriental fragrance that explores the balance between feminine and masculine. Honeyed amber is beautifully counterbalanced by velvety Turkish rose, creating a delicately spiced floral blend that’s both warm and sultry. My favorite perfume to wear for special occasions or evenings in — one that pairs perfectly with a chic all-black ensemble and glass of red wine.

Complex: Le Labo Another 13
A fragrance that’s difficult to describe yet intoxicating to wear. Each note has been stripped down to its basics, with the masculinity of musk and the spice of amber present in the opening while jasmine and moss trail behind to soften the finish. The balance is unusual yet seductive, but neither punchy nor sweet. It’s the perfect perfume for days when I’m feeling relaxed but curious… the scent of quiet confidence.

Vibrant: Diptyque Eau Capitale
A robust and captivating chypre bursting with the scent of rose, bergamot, and patchouli. The unexpected spice of pink peppercorns contrasts the intense aroma of rose and citrus, giving this perfume a lively energy. It’s a fragrance that lasts all throughout the day, lingering in the air and on your clothes for many hours — my favorite scent for when I’m feeling bold and want to be noticed.

Soft: Frau Tonis For Individualists
My favorite Frau Tonis scent that’s entirely unique to myself. It’s a special perfume I created at their flagship store in Berlin. My For Individualists scent is a soft blend of freesia and iris, mixed with green notes of fig and cedar. It’s my go-to fragrance for calm Sunday mornings or quite evenings in, and the powdery combination of floral and earthy notes remind me of a garden in late summer just after a heavy rain.
